2009 renault megane

Renault's highly anticipated all-new, five-door Megane hatchback sports a variety of new features and technologies for the 2009 model year poised specifically to outdo its main competitors, the Ford Focus and {{{Volkswagen Golf}}}.
Heading its assault on the formidable rivals is the Megane's more conservative, yet attractive styling. The model's traditional sporty nature is maintained in this third generation with a sloping roofline, short front and rear overhands and wider track. Although ultimately penned as a somewhat understated economy car, the Megane still manages to exhibit a bit of French flare with its crown shaped hood.
Renault engineers purposely made room enough in the engine bay to accommodate a slew of powertrains. Five distinct diesels ranging from 85 horsepower to 130 horsepower in output will be available upon launch. Shortly thereafter, a more powerful 160 horsepower diesel will be offered. Four-cylinder petrol selections include the naturally aspirated 1.6L (110hp) and 2.0L (140hp) engines, or a pair of turbocharged TCe 180 (180hp) and TCe 130 (130hp) units. Sport tuned suspension along with bigger brakes and wheels assist in the Megane's handling department.
Within the cabin, designers continued the Megane's fluid exterior form and created a larger, more ergonomic dashboard penned to appear as if suspended in midair. Higher quality materials not usually associated with C-segmented vehicles are used extensively in the newly spacious interior. A range of technologies such as hands free entry and ignition, navigation with Bluetooth integration, premium Arkamys sound system and electronic assisted parking brake make their way into the new Magane as well.
The 2009 Renault Megane is scheduled to go on sale after its Paris debut this November.
